OUR STORY

While the sport of polo is older than recorded history, we know that its origins are in the inspirational relationship between humans and horses. This special bond and the unique blending of athletic talents between horse and rider have helped polo evolve into The Sport of Kings.

Mounted nomads in Central Asia played a version of polo that was part sport and part training for war, with as many as 100 men on a side. The game followed the nomads’ migration to Persia (modern Iran) some time between 600 B.C. and 100 A.D.

In Persia, polo became a national sport, played by the nobility and military men. The game was formalized and spread west to Constantinople, east to Tibet, China and Japan, and south to India. Now polo is played 3 per side in arena, 4 on the field.

Modern day polo, although still used for warfare training with our military polo teams, has evolved into a pro sport testing one's skill, target aim, tactics and agility.  Major League Polo conducts international polo championships as well as newly evolving esports tournaments that highlight these amazing dominant warring skills that can be tested both on the field or off the field online through our mobile apps and in our Polo Warz esports tournaments.  Grab a fighting brew and join our Polo family! We also offer a special green, healthy ginger Polo Match "Matcha Lager" and a full non-alcoholic selection for our Warriors-in-Training that just love the taste of the fighting spirit!  Welcome to our Polo family brewery, home to Major League Polo and the World Series of Polo's Sport of Kings.
